Beverly Hills and Hollywood

whoop whooop! tooooday we visited beverly hills and hollywood! where the rich and beautiful are (we blended in perfectly.......)!
so rodeo drive was just like i imagined it. crazy expensive stores, crazy fast cars (bugattis, bentleys, ...), fake boobs and facelifts! hahhaa... we even had lunch at a very beautiful place and it was still cheaper than dining in switzerland. it was delicious btw :P so after rodeo drive (i didnt see any superstar, i think they're hiding from us) we went to hollywood, going for an afternoon stroll on the walk of fame and having a look at the kodiak theatre (that's where the oscars take place). sooo, no stars again, but lots of fake michael jacksons :)
we even managed to save our rented car from being towed away, pheeewww that was close! so after that we drove through the neighbourhoods on the beverly hills, so we could see the houses and cars of the famous and rich. everyone seemed to have a castle to themselves, a couple cars too, of course. i wouldnt say no to such a nice big house and some nice fast cars tbh :D

oh and after taking a shower we actually wanted to go for a small dinner and watch the firework from disneyland (as if we didnt see it every night). so anyway, we went to some steakhouse not far from our hotel. our car got parked by a park boy (.....), we were shown our table, i wouldnt even have to move my own chair, our servant michael did that for me (Y). then he put the napkin on our laps and we got fresh iced water (as always here in america. it's free and u get free refills after every zip! omg i think my glass wasnt even half full ever! they ran directly to our table when we drank from our water). the raw meat (HUGE! pieces of meat) were presented to us as well as the side dishes (hand picked gigantic potato, somehow special red onions etc). michael explained e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g to us. nothing was impossible.
nonna let her napkin fall off her lap once and before she could pick it up, michael almost ran to pick it up and give her a perfectly new one. also did they exchange our knives for new ones because we used the first set to put butter on the warm bacon bread. wouldnt have been nescessary though hahaaha michael answered everything with "wonderful", "excellent", "yes of course, i'll be back in a minute". perfect service! i'm deeply impressed.
so i'm very happy now i'm not whaling around and that i had the best filet mignon in my whole life (and i've had many!).

one thing that's really interesting, is that as soon as a restaurant has a high niveau, it's closer to european culture than american. i'm a little proud of being european :D haha!
i just watched the news btw and apparently summer break has started today and everyone's on the streets. that's why it took us so long to get home. and omg i dont wanna imagine the traffic we'll be in on our way to vegas the day after tomorrow. i bet there's tons of people wanting to celebrate the 4th of july in vegas! oooohhh nooo....

ps: i still cant upload pictures and my online gallery doesnt seem to work either... sorry :/
